The 2020 Joint International Congress of ILTS, ELITA and LICAGE is compliant with the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) code. Click here for details.

EFPIA is the voice of the research-based pharmaceutical industry in Europe, with 33 member associations and 40 leading pharmaceutical companies (corporate members), and two specialised groups – the European Biopharmaceutical Enterprises (EBE) and Vaccines Europe (EV).

The Federation represents the industry in a range of matters and it sets ethical standards for its members. For this purpose, EFPIA has adopted a “Code on the Promotion of Prescription-only Medicines to, and Interactions with, Healthcare Professionals” (EFPIA HCP Code) that, among other things, sets standards for member companies’ presence at scientific congresses; hospitality at such events; and conditions for companies to sponsor the attendance of healthcare professionals.

The Board of EFPIA – whose delegates are the CEOs of member companies – adopted a Leadership Statement on “Ethical Practices” that gives EFPIA the mandate to work with scientific and medical societies to raise awareness of the high ethical standards applying to interactions between medical doctors and pharmaceutical companies.
